About Us

Dustin Craig  grew up in Wyoming and competed in his first horse trials at age 11. Over the years, he has taken many horses through the levels including showing "Nap for Sycamore" at the Advanced Level.

Dustin's main interest lies in starting and training young prospects and he has started and trained horses of almost all breeds and for nearly every discipline, including western and in-hand classes.

Dustin is also a skilled woodworker and has made several of the pieces of furniture in their house and barn along with prizes for some of the horse trials in the areas. Dustin also thoroughly enjoys camping and other similar outdoor hobbies. Dustin has a Bachelor of Animal Science degree from the University of Wyoming

Michelle Craig  grew up riding and showing Hunters/Jumpers and has competed at the Grand Prix level.  Michelle was introduced to eventing while living in Colorado and made the switch to eventing on her old High A/O jumper, Aberdeen.  They competed through Preliminary together. She has competed to the Intermediate level on "Nap for Sycamore" and the Preliminary level on “Something Wicked.” Both of these horses are ex-racers and Michelle brought “Something Wicked” up the levels herself.

Her passion for racehorses has extended beyond retraining them- Michelle has worked as an exercise rider for many trainers on the flat track as well as for steeplechase trainer Mrs. Dot Smithwick.

In addition to the horses, Michelle also has a strong love of dogs and worked as a vet tech at Denver Dumb Friend's League, a large humane society. She did large and small animal rescue work while there and she and Dustin currently have three dogs and two cats, all adopted. Michelle has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Colorado State University.
